If you were Mark Dantonio, how would you handle the quarterback carousel with Cousins and Nichol?
If Tate Forcier began the year at 180 pounds, and people lose weight during the season, and Forcier has been scrambling from defenses like Glenn Winston running from the cops, what weight has Tate dropped down to? 170 lbs? 160?
My dad calls our DVR a "Tebow". I can't deny the awesomeness of this.
Is playing football in the rain possibly the greatest thing in the world? It's like you're in heaven and God says, how bout some chicken wings and beer along with that eternal peace and happiness?
Do Southern women think the Zac Efron/John Parker Wilson manbangs are attractive?
Why is Lou Holtz still on ESPN? This isn't a rhetorical question, I would like someone to give me a real answer. No, I'm serious, someone needs to answer this question. When addressing the A.J. Green celebration penalty, Lou said: I liked to celebrate back in the day. Nice.
But who knew that back in the '80's, Holtz shared a headware fashion advisor with none other than Eazy E? Too bad both of them died in the 1990's.
Did you have a favorite comment from the weekend? Mine comes from the Hammer and Rails message board. The always brilliant SmartFootball commented:
I will say that a good word ...for describing the brutal, depressing and irrational harm caused by these turnovers is that it is rather Kafkaesque
Old guys hitting on women at the Michigan State tailgate: Awesome or Creepy? I say awesome. Keep the dream alive fellas.
Do you miss the one back focus of yesteryears that has been replaced by Spread offenses and running back by committee? Every time I see Earl Campbell run someone over or Ron Dayne get his 34th carry of a classic game, I sort of do.
Is that really Tyler Hansbrough in an AT&T commercial? I don't know what to think about that. Everyone is multifaceted now, but it feels a bit too soon. I guess he has a good agent.
I'm talking to Law Buckeye and he asks me whether Miami/Oklahoma is being played in Dolphins Stadium, and I expressed some confusion also after hearing something about Landshark Stadium. So I googled it and this is what I found:
Miami, FL - Friday, May 8, 2009: Owner and Managing General Partner of The Miami Dolphins, Stephen M. Ross, and celebrated singer songwriter Jimmy Buffett have today announced that Dolphin Stadium will be renamed Land Shark Stadium. This unique branding will bring Buffett's Margaritaville and Land Shark themes to enhance the game-day experience for Dolphans.
Did selling out ever feel sound so good? Probably not, and I WILL take a large margarita with my cheeseburger.
Notre Dame should have lost to Michigan State. They should have lost to Purdue. They should have lost to Washington. It's almost...as if there's a higher force looking out for them...Hmm. Any ideas? Lou Holtz also said that Jimmy Clausen is the best quarterback in America. Thoughts?
