Greg Paulus Challenge Update: PSU Ho-Hums Past 'Cuse, Mini Still Leads
In case you missed it, the Greg Paulus Challenge got underway two weeks ago. You can find the scoring rules here. This week, Penn State overran Syracuse early, never leaving the game in doubt. Paulus threw some catchable passes (14-20), but the offense was overwhelmed for most of the game by the quicker Penn State defenders. Points wise, PSU was unable to smash Paulus enough to get by Mini, sacking him twice, picking him twice, and forcing 6 incompletions. Minnesota hangs on. Next up, Northwestern!
Greg Paulus Challenge Scoreboard
Minnesota: 40 points
Penn State: 35 Points
Northwestern: 9/19 v. Cuse
Thoughts on PSU-'Cuse...
The tastefully named Graham Zug looked fantastic, leading PSU in receiving yards.
Penn State's 4-3 has basically been untested through two games. Sean Lee looks like a monster, a nice nickname could be "The Janitor" because he cleans up running plays quickly and effectively.
Nothing is working in the PSU run game; not sweeps, draws, straight dives.

Go Cats!
After laying a proverbial terd in the punch bowl against EMU last Saturday, I’m hopeful the Cats’ Defense is ready to take out their frustration on hapless Mr. Paulus, and win the Greg Paulus Challenge!
I think Paulus threw 2 INT's
Just saying.
We are gonna shock them with 5,000 mega watts of raw ROO POWER.
Yeah.
G. Paulus 14/20 105yds 5.3y/a 1TD 2INT
We are gonna shock them with 5,000 mega watts of raw ROO POWER.
That would make it 35 points
and still 2nd Place.

i said nothing about it changing the standings as they are now
but it may help PSU not finish last.

Don't worry about that
Northwestern is going to get killed by the ‘your team loses’ penalty, or at least the ‘Paulus throws for 200 yards’ penalty.
Yes to both.
Mini wins the Greg Paulus challenge.
Northwestern most defintiely loses.
Doing the math here...
1 INT 3 points
11 incompletions 11 points
2 Paulus Pass TDs -10 points
1 Paulus Run TD -7 points
Paulus throws for 100+ yards -5 pints
Paulus throws for 200+ yards -10 pints
Your team loses -50 points
So -69 points for Northwestern here :).
Yup, crazy tipped ball INTs count
… driving anyone who cares about stats insane.
