Really
The first time in forever MSU is on the top, and we don’t get a witty write up…
Yeah, what a joke.
They’re not going to know what to do with themselves if MSU locks up the B10 title this year.

Well
Wisconsin thumped Ohio State by a lot more than Purdue’s 3-point margin over Northwestern, and the Coaches Poll puts Ohio State 10, Wisconsin 11. Head-to-head doesn’t always follow through in polls, and preconceived notions are hard to beat.
That said, not to use the “you didn’t beat us, we beat ourselves” excuse, but in a re-match, I think I’d still pick Northwestern. Your team exposed and capitalized on a lot of issues, but you’re still fighting a ton of injuries and Northwestern still has a lot of potential that isn’t being used. Hopefully they took the score as a wake-up call.
Not to say Purdue can’t eventually be ranked higher. If they keep up the way they’re playing, injuries or no they could finish strong in the Big Ten. But the evidence isn’t quite there yet.
how is michigan at #6
I’ve got them at #9…What are you all thinking

You DON’T want to know. Trust me, you don’t.
Obviously, Minnesota will hire John L. Smith to be their next head football coach.

I have them lower too
but we all know nobody listens to me around here. :)
Off Tackle Empire - Ruling on the Big Ten since 2008.
I'm thinking that
Michigan is better than the six teams below them and worse than the 5 teams above them. It’s a close call with Illinois, but that’s how I see it breaking.

It's actually not *that* implausible
Their two losses are to conference contenders. If the Big Ten played a full round robin, I’d expect them to go 5-5 (it’s their bad luck that they don’t play Minnesota or NW, instead of skipping a contender). I guess that would put them #7 (behind Nebraska).
Yep
if nothing else, they have the ability to outscore the bottom half of the league.
It never gets to be easy
