Greetings "Rivalry" posters. There are some big things happening in the Big 10 right now and i thought this would be the perfect blog to get some opinions across the board and not just from Sparty.
Im refering to the possible departure of our beloved Tom Izzo to the Cleveland Labron's and the possibility of Notre Dame joining the Big 10. No one is more beloved in my home state then Tom Izzo but no team is coveted more for our expansion then Notre Dame. So i ask you what is better in the long run for the Big 10? Do we keep one of the best coaches in NCAA history or do we secure Notre Dame as part of our expansion? Can one man do more with one sport for an entire conference then one of the most storied programs can do for every sport? Does the expansion bring more negatives then positives or is it a no brainer? For this hypothetical lets say we get Izzo guarenteed for 20 years or Notre Dame tests us out for 5 years and then re-evaluates after that.
Poll
What would benefit the Big 10 more? Keeping Tom Izzo for decades or getting Notre Dame for a test drive?
