Per Wikipedia:
Todd Reesing (born September 20, 1987 in Austin, Texas) is a former starting quarterback for the Kansas Jayhawks. He spent nine days at the Saskatchewan Roughriders training camp before being cut.

When Illinois does that
it’s because they’re a sleeping giant.
When Purdue does it, it’s because they’re just because they’re the most boring team in the Big Ten.

Or else that's what Jim Delany has told us starting next season.

Those muffin heads at Purdue wish they had a giant group of American hero seniors on their team!
Instead, they’re just a bunch of poopy-pants lame campers! Yeah! Feel the hate from your new cross-division rivals you drum lovers!

What many Iowans will soon find out
is that Purdue’s pregame patriotic spectacle is a sight to behold. Although, seriously, can we get a few more baton twirlers?

Less memorable than Sam Okey's Hawkeye career.

We have
the best twirler in the whole nation. There aren’t enough twirlers good enough to have more than one Golden Girl.
Why expand the Big Ten when we could just kick Northwestern out?

Yes...
If that nation’s borders are demarcated by the Mississippi River, Missouri River, Minnesota, and the 40th Parallel. A huuuuge Nation… Although as a Wildcat I don’t have too much room to talk. At least we have the excuse that we’re private, draw from the entire country, and have our fair share of international students. More like a Wildcat world… and we even have a brand spankin new journalism campus in Doha, Qatar! I wonder if they watch the games on satellite Saturday Nights?
All of Middle America is ours
Chris Myers said so.

I'm sure that new journalism campus in Doha, Qatar will be chock full of freedom of speech.
If a girl gets kissed there, does she get stoned or jailed? How much is the fine for choking out and burning a Filipina foreign worker maid? 2 dollars? Money well spent, praise Allah!
By “draw from the entire country” are you referring to “highschool yearbook editors everywhere*?”
*“Don’t forget AV club presidents!!!” squeels a self-righteously aware, squeeky-voiced, pimply-faced lad!

That escalated fast
I’ll refrain from getting into the details (really not appropriate for a sports blog), but Qatar is a good place to be, relative to its neighbors. Still no freedom-loving, same-sex marrying, Stanzitastic Iowa, but relatively good. I’d view NU’s campus there (alongside Cornell, Texas A&M, Georgetown, and Carnegie Mellon) as a net positive.
Also, for the record, I was neither high school yearbook editor nor AV club president. My admission to Northwestern was based entirely on my career as captain of my high school quiz bowl team. Totally different.
good work!
Quiz Bowl was an important part in my genius sister’s life. She went to Harvard though, which is no Northwestern.

Huh
I thought South Boston Community College was the Northwestern of the Northeast.

I used to have a shirt that read:
“Harvard, the Vanderbilt of the North”. Which is weird, because I never thought of Harvard as the only good school in its region…

Doesn't that smack of ignorance
about Yale, Cornell, Dartmouth, Columbia, and just about all the Ivy League schools?
My aunt (mother’s youngest sister) went to Princeton. Then she went to University of Michigan Law School…

You and your stereotypes. That campus will probably be more effective at helping transform the middle east and exporting our American values than our current foreign policy actions. And Io-a is a shining beacon of inclusive values and women’s rights… To be barefoot and pregnant or home tending the farm. But I kid, as Iowa actually has one of the highest high school grad rates in the country and way above average standardized testing scores. It’s just everyone leaves as soon as they can like most midwestern states. My company actually does a lot of business in Sioux City and most of the people I met are Tea Party fundamentalist conservative extremists at heart. Extremism is bad in any form, including over zealous Ha-keye fans, but I digress.
Don’t know about you, but I was a co-capt of my high school football team in Ohio. Bring 5’9" and 165 lbs I had had to get into NU on on abilities other than athletic. We did upset the #4 Div I team in the state my senior year at our homecoming game. Much like NU, my high school was the smallest in our conference, but we still won a lot of games. That team’s colors that we upset just happened to be black and gold. Maybe that’s where my dislike for all things Ha-keye comes from.
Or Maybe...
…Its because Pat Fitzgerald used his wizard magic to convince you that you hate Iowa. Still sore over that broken leg 15 years ago….
Or maybe you have little man's complex?
And are constantly overcompensating.
I ate the blue ones ... they taste like burning.
ah... the old napoleon fallback
I actually grew another inch and a half once I got to college and am quite secure in my current height and manliness as my wife can attest. Enough so that I proudly wear my NU royal purple wherever I can. It was only an illustration that not all NU students spend their time in the library or were Quiz Bowl captains. Just like I know not all Io-ans are fat, stupid, farmers who tote guns, attend Tea Party rallies, and have the stars and stripes tatted on one arm and barbed wire on the other… Just a majority. Until I visited Io-a City, I didn’t know that hillbillies and doucebags could crossbreed. I don’t have to overcompensate Mr. “I am a four-time Olympic gold-medalist in the heptathlon, inventor of the polio vaccine, Nobel Peace Prize recipient, and author of 13 plays mistakenly attributed to one William Shakespeare.” I know that’s sarcasm, but let’s not get personal here Goon…

Lord knows I did it in high school as well. And I’m 6’3" two hundred and too many. God I miss the days of high school and being in shape.
