Although I enjoyed Thuirsday's appetizer, it is now the first weekend in September. The Big Ten gets underway with a vengeance today, as the remaining eight teams kick off their 2010 campaign. The Big Ten has some measuring stick games right out of the gate, most notably Michigan v. UConn and Purdue v. Notre Dame.
Let's hope Thursday's momentum carries over today and the Good Guys can get a clean sweep for opening day. Like the Black Eyed Peas will inform us...Let's Get It Started.
Big Ten game info, after the jump. Welcome back, Big Ten Football.
The Big Ten breakdown for today:
A few things I'm looking at today:
1. How will Rich Rodriguez and Michigan do in the UConn opener, and will a true starting QB emerge from the scrum?
2. I'm excited to see if Purdue can build on last season's late momentum and how Robert Marve does for the Hurricanes Boilermakers.
3. Someone in the conference usually loses an early game they shouldn't, or lets a very inferior team stay in the game for a lot longer than they should. Yes, I'm looking at you, Wisconsin and Michigan Stater. Put these guys down early, and then keep your boot on their throat.
