Iowa Hawkeyes Dismiss Adam Robinson
At the beginning of the 2010 camp, Iowa had a trio of running backs every bit the equal of Wisconsin (in talent, if not girth). But, Brandon Wegher had personal issues and never suited up in 2010 (he's since left the team). Jewel Hampton had ACL issues (again) and never suited up in conference play (he's since left the team). Through it all, Adam Robinson toted the ball and picked up the blocks. He was the least regarded, yet most reliable. He played with heart and hustle. He didn't have the speed or size.
Today, he was dismissed from the team. For good. His arrest on pot possession was the final straw, but he had missed time for "team rule violations" previously and was suspended from the Insight Bowl.
This will leave SO Marcus Coker, RS FR De'Andre Johnson, and whatever recruits are signed as the running back stable for the 2011 Iowa Hawkeyes.

Iowa has 3 (literally 3) RB's currently on the roster
And Brad Rogers is a fullback. There are 3 incoming recruits. We’ll be needing more.
I wish i had some eligibility left

Highly doubtful, but whatever. We all know what AIRBHG does each year.

Possibly, but we'll never know
Hampton showed flashes in 2008, and showed flashes early this year before he got hurt. Wegher set the freshman scoring record in 2009, Robinson the freshman rushing record.
You can’t say it wouldn’t have been a formidable trio.
Also, it should be noted
that Robinson was not actually arrested – that is to say he was not cuffed and taken to county. He was given a citation and released at the scene.
Still, stupid move on his part.
Keep in mind
that the FB, Rogers, was held out due to heart tests as well. I haven’t seen the results of that, but it’s usually not a good thing.
It never gets to be easy.
Why the fuck doesn't it ever get to be easy?
