2006 L 12-0
2007 L 26-19
2008 L 20-6
2009-2010 Hiatus

After wins over two of the worst Penn State teams in recent memory, Purdue has been punished repeatedly by Joe Paterno. 2007 was the battle of dysfunctional QBs (Morelli vs. Painter? How much more dysfunctional can you get?), 2008 was a defensive domination (and it's amazing that Purdue managed 6 points, period, given just how iffy that team was).

vs. Notre Dame

2000 L 23-21
2001 L 24-18
2002 L 24-17
2003 W 23-10
2004 W 41-16
2005 L 49-28
2006 L 35-21
2007 W 33-19
2008 L 38-21
2009 L 24-21
2010 L 23-12

This area hasn't been kind to Purdue at all. Notre Dame has won multiple close games (2000, 2001, 2002, and 2009) along with blowouts (2005, 2006, 2008). When Purdue has won, they've won big. But they can't win close games against the Irish. They just can't. And sometimes that's due to officiating (0 ND penalties in the 2010 game? BS on so many levels), but often, it's due to Notre Dame being better*.

* = FYI, I hate Notre Dame.
