PrintTed is still on special assignment, so I get to kick off your football viewing for the day. It's an important B1G week. We can't afford three losses. Much like Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Ohio State's season, anything less than 10-2 is a failure. But first, a musical prayer of remembrance and hope.

I don't think Virginia is as dismally bad as the last few years
They’ve gone from horrible to just sort of below average. Indiana on the other hand…
The one thing in Penn State's favor
is that they have little to lose and everything to gain. If they lose, they aren’t hurt in the conference race, and if they win…well…

I’m just outside DC. I don’t get the Auburn-Miss State game. I do get Northwestern-EIU and Illinois-South Dakota State though.

We simply cannot get ahead of the downs. Missed tackles, poor special teams play (minus that last punt). This is the opposite of Tressel ball.

They've played Purdue tough the last two years, and won last year.
They’re probably upper-level MAC or so. They’ve been playing well, though. It hasn’t been an ugly game, just tight, with 2 defenses on their game.

Well it's obvious that if the offense is in 3rd and 33 that def holding call
stopped them from humming along so it should be an auto first down. I’ve stopped trying to figure out rules a long time ago. It’s only ends with me getting angry and drunker.

but Todd Beckman should be the next MAC coach to move up the coaching ladder. He took over from Gary Pinkel (who’s done well at Missouri) and Toledo has been solid under his watch.
