The Gophers Announce New Uniforms
Credit Nike for this: you can do a lot of ugly when your colors are maroon and gold. It looks like the designers stayed calm and kept it simple. That's a good thing.

Aside from the black facemask
The new Unis look great. The Maroon top/Gold bottom combo is particularly good.
I love that the font for the jerseys is based off the jersey font from the Minnesota team that won the 1940 National Title.
Also, Bama, are you color blind? Maroon and Gold is one of the top color combos in the Big Ten.
Also, black and yellow is truly hideous. There is no getting around that fact.

for the atrocity that is blue on blue… Seriously how is that the second ugliest uniform on the field in that picture?

This stuff is getting a little ridiculous.
Is there a reason for teams that play 12 games in a season to have 9 distinct uniform combinations?

…you waited until they show 8 (gold/gold isn’t officially a combo though it is clearly possible) normal looking combo’s (which is a pretty normal number when you have home/away/alternate color choices) to flip out? =)

I guess I’m just more of a traditionalist. Home color – road white. Done. I realize that times have changed but eight or nine or anything really over three seems a bit much.
So I take it you did not like this season's Pro Combat uni's? ;o)
Keep in mind that when white isn’t a school color it is a lot easier to end up with the 3 color sets so that the team can wear as much of the actual school colors as possible. Not that I mind the all white roads that the Gophers sometimes wear. I do. Just saying that it’s nice to be able to add in more Maroon and Gold.
