We showed the new Gopher uniforms as they were unveiled. We'll do the same thing with Illinois, as they have decided that they want to purge not just Zook, but also the Zook-look from their future. These are things that have been on display for recruits and at various alumni events.
Personally, I think that Illinois belongs in orange helmets, but I do like the blue text.

i'd love to see
that blue helmet with an orange facemask, but other than that i really like the left and center helmets. not enough blue on the helmet on the right.
it’s interesting that they’d wear helmets with such different logos during the same season. depending on the uniforms, they could make these work.

I think that these are prototypes
My guess is that they’ll make a pick of a new helmet and jersey style and have a roll out in the Spring.

Aree with both points.
Like the matte blue, but I’ve realized I seem to like all the matte helmets I’ve seen recently.

Unless you’re Native American, it doesn’t really matter if you find it offensive or not. And while it’s not on the level of Chief Wahoo or Redskins, it still is based on and perpetuates stereotypes. The tribal council voted to get rid of it. If they don’t want it, it doesn’t exist. Period.

I never cared much for the helmets.
It was the Giants helmet with different writing. I’d prefer something else.

with the block I. The curved “Illini” in white looks terrible though.
I ate the blue ones ... they taste like burning.
