Penn State Removes Paterno Statue, NCAA To Announce 'Unprecedented Penalties' For Penn State

Penn State has removed the Joe Paterno statue and will store it in 'a secure location'. PSU President Rodney Erickson released a lengthy statement on the removal, which you can read here. The library will remain unchanged. Also, CBS News (not CBS Sports) is reporting that the NCAA will announce 'unprecedented' penalties against Penn State, and they will announce those penalties at 9 AM tomorrow. I'm no Penn State apologist, but if true, the announcement of these penalties seems pretty quick. Usually the NCAA moves at the speed of a glacier, so both the penalties and the speed of the investigation would be unprecedented. Mega fine? Death penalty? No football starting in 2012? Anyone care to speculate?
