I was in my favorite local bike shop in Alabama and I noticed this sheet. It is pretty standard, you will notice that every B1G school is represented. I even have one of the Michigan State Jerseys offered here that I wear when mountain biking.

So no big deal....until I flipped it over...

Really?! I'm in Alabama and of all the choices to display for this advertisement they pick the University of Michigan?!

But then I took a closer look. Since you can't hold it your hand like I did, I took another picture:

Even still, it's a little hard to see who the team the University of Michigan is lined up against.

Well. Unless you're a Wolverine fan. You probably see those helmets and jerseys in your dreams (or is it nightmares?). That folks is Appalachian State University lined up against the mighty, mighty starting offense for your University of Michigan Wolverines.

Since the last time UM was as highly ranked as they are coming into a season was 2007, was it fortuitous (or a bad omen) that I found this placard this weekend?
