According to NBC Columbus affiliate, NBC 4, reporter Mindy Drayer, who claims she has seen the surveillance video, Carlos Hyde struck the alleged victim with an open hand. According to the report, Hyde struck the woman after she first took a swing at him after a conversation between the two. It was not clear to Drayer whether the alleged victim hit Hyde when she swung at him.
Drayer also reports that the victim was not knocked unconscious and that Hyde did not punch her. I have no idea what to make of this but it is a local news station in Columbus so we'll see what happens in the coming days. If this does turn out to be true, it will be interesting to see what Meyer does with Hyde as this new report is not as serious as what the alleged victim accused Hyde of doing.
Hyde is still considered a person of interest in the investigation and hasn't been charged as of yet. I'll do my best to keep up with this.
