The Obligatory Predictions Competition - Third Annual Bowl Edition

Opc_logo_medium

Welcome to the third annual Obligatory Predictions Competition - Bowl Edition. We'll take the points you earn from the OPC Bowl Edition, add them onto the points you accumulated during the regular season...and crown an OPC winner! Last years' winner, Paternos Granddaughter, took home a Penn State ballcap.

The 2010-2011 bowl games are cluster----s. Military bowls, tons of unreadable seven and five Big Ten teams, and a national championship game which might as well be a pick 'em. Still want to play the OPC Bowl Edition? Here's how to get in on the action:

Step 1: Download the official Obligatory Predictions Competition Bowl Bracket

Step 2: Fill in a winner for all 35 bowls.

Step 3: Save the document as your SB Nation User ID (e.g. "Grahamfiller10.doc").

Step 4: E-Mail your bracket to franz.50@osu.edu no later than Saturday, December 18th, at 10:00am.

Your picks will be scored as follows:

  • One (1) point is earned for correctly picking the winning team.
  • Two (2) points are awarded for the "upset pick" -- an upset being defined as predicting: 1. Any AP Top 25 ranked team to defeat any opponent of higher rank, which in fact does occur, or 2. Any non-ranked AP Top 25 team to defeat any ranked opponent, which in fact does occur.

We'll release score updates throughout bowl season, so you can check your stock.  In the meantime, safe travels. And don't forget to get your picks in by this Saturday (December 18th).

Good luck!
