Lots of doings in the B1G today, as the race for the division titles will be a lot more crystallized after today.
Our first matchup is Illinois at Indiana. Finally, after today, someone other than Wisconsin will get into the win column for bowl eligible Leaders division teams. Yay?
Our other 11:00 game is Iowa and Northwestern. If Iowa wins, they're still in the hunt for the Legends division, and a Northwestern loss essentially knocks them out. A Northwestern win still gives them fain hope. And another Iowa loss on top of last week's destruction at the hands of Penn State will make Iowa fan about as happy as a teenage girl with no cell phone. (Cue Geico mandolin and guitar player here).
We also have a couple of 2:30 games. Purdue plays Minnesota, and the winner still has a realistic possibility of going bowling, the loser does not. And a game with a lot less juice to it than last year has Wisconsin and Penn State. Wisky is a lock for the Leaders division, and a loss here by MSU and they'll fall to 4-5 on the year. Wow. Flip the result and it really doesn't affect anything, other than Sparty staying above .500.
The heavyweight matchups will be good ones. The defacto Leaders division title game will be played in Happy Valley tonight, when OSU travels there to meet Penn State. The Bucks are the only remaining undefeated team, and PSU has been playing the best all around football in the conference for about a month. Going to be a great game. And in a game that potential BCS implications, Michigan travels to Lincoln to meet Nebraska. A Cornhusker win and they move atop the Legends Division, but a Michigan win and they're really in the driver's seat for Indianapolis.
The rules remain the same. No porn or links to Illegal Internet streams of games. Enjoy the games!
