Two trophy games highlight the weekend for the B1G

Leon Halip

If last week provided us with a bit more clarity in the B1G division races, this week, barring a big upset, puts everything in a holding pattern.

First off your games:

Michigan at Minnesota, 11:00, BTN

Iowa at Indiana, 2:30, BTN

Illinois at Ohio State, 2:30, ESPN

Penn State at Purdue, 2:30, ESPNU

Nebraska at Michigan State, 2:30, ABC

The only thing that can upset the balance of power this week is if MSU upsets Nebraska, and Michigan beats Minnesota, which most everyone expects. That puts Michigan back atop the Legends division with two games to play.

Our trophy games are for the Little Brown Jug (UM-MN), and the Illibuck (OSU-IL). Michigan should beat Minnesota, like I said...as long as Denard Robinson stays healthy. If he dings his elbow again and Russell Bellomy has to play, this could be anyone's game. And if OSU loses the turtle to Illinois, well...let's just hope that doesn't happen.

I'll also be watching to see how Iowa and Penn State bounce back after ugly losses last week. The same rules apply as every week, so sit back, relax, and enjoy the games and the fall weather. I'll try to drop in and say hello, but I'm in Iowa seeing family. So I don't know if I will or not.

Enjoy the games, everyone!
