So the B1G finds itself coming off of a rough week, and is somewhere between Apocalypse and redemption. I don't think there's any one game on the schedule that will mean full redemption, but last week wasn't really the Apocalypse, either. It wasn't great, don't get me wrong, but there's still a lot of football to be played.
So the Good Guys find themselves somewhere in between the two extremes this week, and I'd only classify one game as a headliner--Michigan State and Notre Dame square off as the headliner this evening. Your conference games for today:
Time (CST) | Network | Visitor | Home | Quick Prediction |
11:00 | BTN | Western Michigan | Minnesota | Gophers 3-0? Yup |
11:00 | ESPN 2 | Arkansas State | Nebraska | Huskers Bounce Back Big |
11:00 | BTN | Charleston Southern | Illinois | Is there a Charleston Northern? |
11:00 | BTN | Eastern Michigan | Purdue |
Purdue gets healthy on directional Michigan |
11:00 | ABC | Cal | Ohio State | OSU wins, Miller has less than 20 carries. I hope |
2:30 | BTN | Boston College | Northwestern | I like Northwestern, by two scores |
2:30 | ABC/ESPN2 | Navy | Penn State | Navy in the upset |
2:30 | BTN | Northern Iowa | Iowa | Iowa State understandable. A loss here won't be. Don't lose Iowa. |
2:30 | BTN | UMass | Michigan | Michigan by 30. |
7:00 | BTN | Ball State | Indiana | Indiana is going to be 3-0, world will not end |
7:00 | BTN | Utah State | Wisconsin | Wisconsin by 4 |
7:00 | ABC | Notre Dame | MSU | Sparty wins and ND's championship hopes end in September, for the 23rd year in a row |
I'm calling 11-1 for the conference this week. 12-0 would make me giddy.
You know the drill on the no-nos: No racism, no sexism, no homophobia, no personal attacks, no pornography, no politics, and no illegal Internet streams of the games. Basically, don't be a dick. Other than that, have at it.
Enjoy the games, everyone!
