It started, as most things do, in the comment section.
As best I recall, we've only had 1 dedicated IU Football fan (87 Rides a Surfboard)Â until new IU commenter Candystripes for Breakfast showed up, cursed the Fighting Irish (always welcome), and asked for an Indiana Off Tackle Empire shirt.
I supposed it would be as simple as going to Game Day Depot and asking for a Nebraska or Wisconsin shirt tinted the proper shade of IU Crimson. But no, it was not to be.
Our resident scientist and scourge of bacon Salt Creek and Stadium came up with an elegant solution:
SOLUTION: Buy a red and white one. Cut into Strips. Piece back together. Sew. Two Indiana Shirts
Indiana has traditionally rocked the candy stripe pattern on their basketball warm up pants

and now, even their helmets (I'm not sold on reflective chrome FWIW)
I decided to fire up my trusty image editor and give Indiana the shirt it truly deserves.
Indiana isn't the only team in this conference to own a striping pattern. My very own Northwestern Wildcats pioneered the Northwestern Stripe decades ago. I pulled out the purple NU shirt and added some badly needed stripes
I will seriously buy this shirt, and I think MNWildcat and the rest of the wildcat contingent here will join me .
Then I decided to give our locomotive-obsessed friends at Purdue a pocket Protector
And then a request came in for an OSU Shirt
And I'll revisit that soon.
Later on, some MSU fans wondered what I would do to their green shirt.
and
Nebraska needs a new shirt
And so does a certain Ohio State fan
And of course Jerry needs a shirt
I'll keep the entire gallery up here, and refresh it as I add new pictures. Feel free to give me suggestions!
