Michigan State: Cell Block Sparty

MSU's prize dual-threat QB commit arrested.

Jeff Gross

If you're a Sparty fan (which it seems a few you of you are) this won't warm the cockles of your heart. 2015 QB commit Jayru Campbell, a 4-star dual threat QB from Detroit Cass Tech High School, decided that the best method of making his point to a Cass Tech security guard was to suplex said guard onto the tile floor. Campbell spent the night as a guest of the Detroit Police.

This is Campbell's second incident this school year. He's already suspended for the first game of his senior season for punching an opposing player in the handshake line. Campbell committed to Sparty last August, prior to a junior season where he led his team to the state playoffs.

The Ranger isn't gonna like this one, Yogi. Mark Dantonio now has some tough choices to make, and it'll be interesting to see whether he sticks with the youngster or rescinds the offer. He's stuck with kids in the past, but attacking a member of the school staff is a hangin' offense in most places.
