Brady Hoke is out at Michigan. http://t.co/6yvdV1ECO2
— Freep Sports (@freepsports) December 2, 2014
According to the Freep, as you can see, coupled with SBNation, Brady Hoke is out at Michigan.
Why's that, MNW?
After coming to Michigan from his revival work at both Ball State and San Diego State, Hoke's records by year at Michigan decreased each season:
Year | Overall | B1G |
2011 | 11-2 | 6-2 |
2012 | 8-5 | 6-2 |
2013 | 7-6 | 3-5 |
2014 | 5-7 | 3-5 |
Under Hoke, the Wolverines won the Sugar Bowl in 2011, finishing the season ranked 12th in the AP, but lost the Outback and Buffalo Wild Wings Bowls in consecutive seasons before finishing out of the running this year.
How's the coaching search looking?
Not good, according to Football Scoop (h/t to RossWB at BHGP):
Multiple sources I spoke with told me Jim Harbaugh has already told Michigan that he is not a candidate.
Sources tell us that Michigan has reached out to Butch Jones as well. Jones will not be a candidate at Michigan.
Discuss it here. I'm sure Graham or Brian will have thoughts later. Be civil to each other, preferably not including "Fuck Michigan."

Oh, and is there any irony in this firing?
