NCAA Tournament 2014 GameThread: Ohio State-Dayton & Wisconsin-American

Buckeyes versus Flyers headline the first two early B1G matchups.

Mary Langenfeld-USA TODAY Sports

Buffalo, N.Y., 12:15 p.m. CBS: No. 6 Ohio State vs. No. 11 Dayton

Milwaukee, Wis., 12:40 p.m. truTV: No. 2 Wisconsin vs. No. 15 American

Let this serve as your OTE gamethread for Bucks and Badgers.

These aren't really Jekyll and Hyde teams nowadays. Wisconsin is playing Wiskyball pretty well right now, but we were treated to a "how to beat them" seminar by MSU in the BTT. OSU still can't score the ball, but can shut down teams unprepared for their gritty, gritty defense.

BADGERS

Most of America believes that Wisconsin should have no problem with American. This might be the most talented Badger team of Bo Ryan's reign, able to shoot threes AND defend AND even occasionally pick up the tempo. Woah.

OTE'S WRITERS SAY: Wisconsin annoys us and will probably flame out one round earlier than expected. Green Akers says Wisconsin the Final Four, but I'm pretty sure that's a reverse jinx thing.

YAHOO! AMERICA SAYS: 98% of America thinks Wisky wins here.

BUCKS

Ohio State, whose offensive struggles were well documented, will be playing a Dayton Flyer team that's small and turnover prone.

MY STEPDAD SAYS: "Small-school teams are rarely intimidated by bigger schools in their own state. They've probably been playing against each other in AAU for years."

OTE'S WRITERS SAY: Probably something anti-Craft. But this matchup didn't tickle the upset meter for the staff.

YAHOO! AMERICA SAYS: 84% of America says O-H...I-O!
