OTE's All-B1G team is an oddity. Since we've got an amazing list of great guards and a bunch of guard-dominated B1G offenses, some players are not going to get the recognition they deserve. Sorry.
Some notes:
Aaron Craft is an excellent defender. He's a team leader. He's a senior, they get favored treatment on these teams. But his late-season offense and OSU's struggles make him somewhat of an All-B1G afterthought here on OTE.
Adreian Payne has 1st Team All-American talent and statistics, when he played. But the mid-season injury derailed some of that potential. Regardless, he made the OTE All-B1G 1st Team.
Surprises? Petteway of Nebraska is a unanimous All-B1G 1st Teamer. So much respect for Tim Miles and Petteway's playmaking ability. Don't claim you called this preseason. Same goes for Stauskas' playmaking ability. We all know you can shoot, but apparently you can finish at the rim and set up dunks for others.
If the game is tied with 10 second to go and I can give the ball to one person, I give it to Yogi Ferrell. He's going to create a shot, he's going to get some space from the defender. Much respect for his ability to take charge on a less than impressive Indiana offense.
Minnesota appears to be well coached, but none of their guys made it onto any of these teams.
Honorable Mentions: Caris LeVert, Ronnie Johnson, Sam Dekker, Andre Hollins
