Today the ESPN family of networks announced their first slate of primetime games for the 2014 college football season. Adam Rittenberg singled out the B1G games on ESPN's Big Ten blog. Per his article:
Here's the ABC/ESPN schedule:
Sept. 6
Virginia Tech at Ohio State, 8 p.m. ET, ESPN
Sept. 20
Miami at Nebraska, 8 p.m. ET, ABC or ESPN or ESPN2
Oct. 4
Nebraska at Michigan State, 8 p.m. ET, ABC or ESPN or ESPN2
Oct. 11
Penn State at Michigan, 7 p.m. ET, ESPN or ESPN2
Oct. 25
Ohio State at Penn State, 8 p.m. ET, ABC or ESPN or ESPN2
Nov. 1
Illinois at Ohio State, 8 p.m. ET, ABC or ESPN or ESPN2
Notes:
- This is only a preliminary announcement and there are sure to be night games added down the line.
- Miami at Nebraska gives Hurriance and Husker fans what they really want: the ability to talk about how good they used to be. Hopefully Bo Pelini doesn't go for two.
- Nebraska at Michigan State, Penn State at Michigan and Ohio State at Penn State should entertaining, as they always are.
- Illinois at Ohio State? Jesus, isn't the conference embarrassed enough? (Stole that quote from Chad)
- Yes, that is a Big Ten night game in November. No, there isn't a rule against them. Too bad the only one currently scheduled has to be Illinois getting clowned by Ohio State.
Tomorrow the Big Ten Network will announce their night game schedule. THERE'S STILL HOPE FOR YOU, PURDUE!
