Can Michigan State or Purdue pull the upset?

Is it fall? It’s going to be in the mid-60’s to mid-70s everywhere in B1G country. There is some great weather for the games today, so here is the rundown for those not going:

Minnesota at Illinois (-9) || 12:00pm ET || BTN

Can Illinois stop the skid? Will Minnesota rebound after narrowly edging out Rutgers last week? My guess is this is much closer than the spread.

#2 Michigan at Michigan State (+24.5) || 12:00pm ET || ESPN

Time for Sparty to be embarrassed on national television? Jim Harbaugh is certainly going to be going out to avenge last year’s last second loss and Michigan State looks exceptionally bad so far in 2016. This could be a long day for Spartan fans.

#24 Penn State at Purdue (+14) || 12:00pm ET || ABC/ESPN2

Purdue will look to catch Penn State sleeping as they are fresh off an upset of the #2 team in the country, Ohio State. James Franklin will have to keep his team motivated against a team that has looked every bit of a three win team for the season.

Northwestern at #6 Ohio State (-27) || 3:30pm ET || ESPN

Is Vegas doing crack? Have they seen the Buckeye offense? -27, even at home, looks like an easy take given the trajectory of both teams going into the week.

Maryland at Indiana (-3.5) || 3:30pm ET || ESPNU

This game is certainly a deciding factor for both teams. Indiana needs this win if they want a reasonable shot at bowl eligibility while Maryland looks to get one last win before a three game trek of Ohio State, Nebraska and Michigan. A win for Maryland locks up bowl eligibility.

#7 Nebraska at #11 Wisconsin (-8.5) || 7:00pm ET || ESPN

Is this the signature Big Ten win Wisconsin has been waiting for? Both prior games against Big Ten opponents in the Top Ten have resulted in narrow losses to Michigan and Ohio State but this game is most likely deciding the West. Nebraska appears to have had a light schedule so far and this will be the real test that could jump them multiple spots in the polls and perhaps into the playoff conversation.
