This is the last day of Purdue week. Next week will be about a team that has won more than two conference games in the last three years. I think we all deserve a beverage that may make us feel better about Purdue.
DESSERT - A Round of Cold Ones
As a reward for making it through Purdue Week, the toughest week of the year, let's all throw back our favorite cold ones. It's not really dessert; it's better than dessert for forgetting problems like rooting for a terrible team. Cheers!
Possibly the Dumbest Questions in Potluck History
Since this whole potluck thing is supposed to kind of have something to do with food, what food related song best fits your school? And what is your favorite song that has something to do with food?
StewMonkey13
Food related song...? Uh...Damn... Honestly, it's probably some country song about beer. I don't listen to country, so I have no idea.
Candystripes for Breakfast
Since I'm struggling to come up with one for IU, let's all pretend for a second that "Candy Shop" by 50 Cent is actually about food and say that. My favorite food related song (and I might be stretching ‘food-related' a little bit) is Breakfast Machine, not because it has anything to do with the movie it's famous for being in, but because it got played at just about every IU soccer game I ever attended, and never stopped being funny.
Graham Filler
"Breakfast at Tiffany's" springs to mind, as the song revolves around past memories being quite satisfactory, while maybe the future and present aren't looking as exceptional. But enough about Minnesota football.
GoForThree
"Cake and Sodomy" because Michigan can...well, you know.
LincolnParkWildcat
In honor of Prince, Purple Rain? MNW would be better suited to answer this question.
MNWildcat
"Purple Rain" isn't...really...about...food.
For Northwestern, I'd say... "The Spam Song"? I don't know. I'm not good at this. But Purdue should be "Tomato Can" by The Arcs.
Thomas Speth
Eh... "99 Cans of Beer On the Wall" Does that count? I mean it fits Wisconsin.
babaoreally
What a great question. The food song that fits being a Purdue fan is "I Love Rocky Road" by Weird Al. The food song that fits Purdue in general is "Peaches" by the Presidents of the United States of America, since both Purdue and Peaches are six letters long and start with P. My favorite food song is "Heinz Baked Beans" by The Who. It is a fake commercial in which various family members ask the mother of the house what is for tea? After a lot of build up, the answer turns out to be Heinz Baked Beans.
