The B1G baseball update is an abridged version this week due to travel schedules but here is an update as we draw ever closer to the B1G tournament.

We have two weeks left of the regular season so here is where everything stands as of now:

Standings Conference Overall
Indiana  13-5 29-17
Michigan 12-5 34-12
Minnesota 12-5 30-15
Michigan St. 11-7 32-13
Nebraska 11-7 31-17
Ohio St. 10-8 32-16-1
Maryland 10-8 25-22
Penn. St. 10-8 26-23
Illinois 9-9 25-20
Iowa 8-10 22-23
Rutgers 6-12 23-25
Northwestern 5-16 13-34
Purdue 2-19 7-39

As you can see it's a bit of a log jam at the top considering first place Indiana and eighth place aOSU/Maryland/PSU are separated by a mere 3 games.  What does this mean?  Well, it means these last two weekends are crucial for positioning in either getting a good seed or even making it to the B1G tournament.  If the tournament were to be this weekend then PSU would be the cut off so right now Illinois and Iowa are on the outside looking in.  They still have a shot but will need to play some good ball these last two weeks if they want to get in.  The rest?  Well I heard Wisconsin is hosting a fondue* party so have some fun there guys.
