Week 4: Big Ten Football Gamethread

Conference games, weird bye weeks, and probably the most questionable TV decision made so far this year. That’s what we have this week!

#11 Wisconsin at #8 Michigan State (-5.5) || 12:00pm ET || ....BTN?!?

Yes, BTN has the Top 15 matchup which is as close as you can get to a matchup of two top ten teams. This baffles me as to why ESPN didn’t try for this game but hey who am I?

Iowa at Rutgers (+13) || 12:00pm ET || ...ESPN2?!?

Yes, a Buttgers game was chosen over #11 vs #8 to play on ESPN. I don’t quite understand this decision other than ESPN thinks that the NYC market will watch more than the Midwest market.

Nevada at Purdue (-5.5) || 12:00pm ET || ESPN News

Purdue is home and favored but this one has upset written all over it. Purdue should win this game but will they? History says go no where near this game if you are a betting man.

Colorado State at Minnesota (-17) || 12:00pm ET || ESPNU

Minnesota continues its cupcake tour as they take on CSU at home. Should win big, may or may not struggle throughout as they did against OSU and none of us will be surprised with either result. I still don’t know what to make of this team.
