Wisconsin takes on LSU highlighting the out of conference matchups in Week 1

The main event is finally here! The Big Ten is 3-0 so far for the week but that wasn’t without some drama. Minnesota is a candidate to win the Big Ten West but could barely take down Oregon State while Michigan State showed some growing pains with a new QB under center and a ton of penalties on defense.

Here is the lineup for today:

Howard at Maryland || 12:00pm ET || BTN

Maryland opens with Howard who they should have no trouble putting away. The remnants of Hurricane Hermine are moving through the mid atlantic however, so this one could be closer than it should be. DJ Durkin will feature Will Likely in all three phases of the game to maximize his shiftiness while the new look Terrapins hope to brush off last year's three win season.

Eastern Kentucky at Purdue || 12:00pm ET || ESPNN

Thankfully for Purdue, this isn’t Western Kentucky so they should easily put this away.

Western Michigan at Northwestern (-5) || 12:00pm ET || ESPNU

Northwestern has been put on upset alert by multiple college football talking heads as they take on the fighting Fleck's at WMU. Northwestern should win but they'll struggle early to put WMU away.

Hawaii at Michigan (-40) || 12:00pm ET || ESPN

Harbaugh is so ruthless that he won’t announce his starting QB for Hawaii, let alone share any sort of film with Hawaii even though Harbaugh gets the advantage of having last week’s footage of Hawaii vs. Cal. I wouldn’t either but then again it’s Hawaii, they don’t pose a threat. I’ll still take them to cover since Harbaugh putting up over 40 points is somewhat of a stretch.

Bowling Green at Ohio State (-28) || 12:00pm ET || BTN

So many noon kickoffs. Urban Meyer won’t struggle with Bowling Green as they replace a head coach. JT Barrett has no challengers to the throne this year as he tries to lead OSU back to the playoffs.

Rutgers at Washington (-26.5) || 2pm ET || Pac12 Network

Rutgers always has to be different with the 2pm kickoff. Chris Ash opens up his coaching career at Washington where he will try to cover an almost 4TD spread against his team. I have faith in Rutgers....but they’ll need a few years to get there.

That’s it for the noon games (and buttgers). An overflow will be up at 3:30pm ET for the mid afternoon slate. Normal rules apply: keep it civil, no illegal links, no illicit pics, etc.
