John Terhune - Journal & Courier

Having not been let in on the wonderful secret of secret scrimmages (for some reason “MNWildcat” doesn’t get press passes), we’re at least here to talk about Big Ten basketball teams and their exhibition games.

We’ve missed a couple, as Iowa spent a half underwhelming against D-II William Jewell College, Indiana showed both a small lineup and the need for a lengthy rebuild against D-II Indianapolis, Purdue turned it over a lot but overpowered NAIA Carroll College (MT) after easing by Indiana State, and wisconsin got right back to its ways, murdering offensive basketball in a NICE-38 (!!!) win over Northern Iowa (had a 35-18 lead at half which, Jesus).

Have we moved on from those? Excellent.

Now we move to the upcoming games. Rather than previewing each game, which, lol, I’ve decided to cobble together a handy little table for you, with the immediately relevant past results and the upcoming games.

Note that, of these games, I’ve included Northwestern’s open practice in order to be comprehensive, as the ‘Cats played an inconclusive secret scrimmage with Marquette and won’t host an exhibition game. Nebraska will also host an open practice tonight as this article drops, in addition to an exhibition next Tuesday.

Additionally, four teams—Illinois, Minnesota, Penn State, and rutger—will play disaster relief benefits for those displaced by the recent hurricanes. Feel free to click the hyperlinks above and donate to those worthwhile causes if you are able.
