Crap. Indiana did a competent thing.
After Steve Alford flatly denied to CBS Sports’ Gary Parrish that he was leaving the UCLA job to return to the Hoosier State, it turns out Indiana had its next men’s basketball coach lined up: Archie Miller will be headed to Bloomington from Dayton, where he posted a 24-8 record and brought the Flyers to their fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament.
A new era of Indiana Basketball begins now.

Welcome @Archie_Miller!!! #iubb ⚪️ ⚪️ pic.twitter.com/Gf2UDEbZDr
Miller also won 2017 A10 Coach of the Year honors and brings a lifetime mark of 139-63 to Assembly Hall. He was an assistant under Thad Matta, so he brings a familiarity with Big Ten basketball, though his wife will have to find new reasons to be mad at Northwestern basketball.
Congrats to Indiana on a good hire and welcome to the Big Ten, Archie.
