A glimmer of football looms on our horizon. The NFL Draft runs from Thursday April 27 to Saturday April 29th.
It’s a poor substitute for real football. However, for diehards, it’s fun to see where your guys wind up playing on Sundays. It’s one of the few things that get my attention away from fishing and surfing in the long months of offseason.
According to Scout.com, the B1G has six players among the best 32 in this year’s draft
- Malik Hooker - Ohio State #7
- Marshon Lattimore - Ohio State #9
- Taco Charlton - Michigan #18
- Malik McDowell - Michigan State #20
- Ryan Ramczyk - Wisconsin #22
- Gareon Conley - Ohio State #31
Rank isn’t the same as draft position, because teams have needs...real needs. That’s why we need draft experts! I surfed over to NFL. Com to see what their "experts" had to say. Looks like a Buckeye love-in.
The tables below summarize where the B1G Players land in the first round:

Mr. McDowell would like a word, please...
That's the latest from NFL.com. I'm sure there will be some changes. I mean, c'mon, Peppers is a top ten talent at least, amirite? I'll try to get you another update before the actual draft.
I'm not a fan of T.J. Watt or Jabrill Peppers as first round picks. Both could be good players, but neither of them have what I would consider, first round talents. Neither are rookie starters. Neither are game changers at the NFL level. I'll be surprised if both players remain projected that high.
Let me know what you think in the comments.
