Making A Big Deal Out of the Ohio State and Indiana Final Score

It’s what we do

The first night of B1G football for 2017 is in the books. Now, it’s time to make an entirely B1G deal out of the results. This game, like most, is the perfect opportunity. If you hate Ohio State, as many of you sad saps do, then there was plenty to pick apart. If you are an enlightened, intelligent football fan, and thus love Ohio State, there was plenty to be optimistic about. The same can be said for the dozens of fans that follow Indiana.

Because I know the one thing the vast majority of you have in common is laziness, I decided to include all four in this analysis of the game.

Guy That Frequently Uses The Word “Suckeyes”: Did you see how terrible the Ohio State offense was in the first half? After that 35-0 beat down Clemson put on the Buckeyes, I knew Ohio State always sucked. Then, they only managed 13 points in the first half against INDIANA. Barrett missed 15 throws. He looked TERRIBLE. No way the Buckeyes can beat Oklahoma, let alone UNLV with that offense. Heck, I bet Ohio State would be the 4th best team in Oklahoma. Even Tulsa is better, they managed 17 in the first half against the real OSU.

As for the Buckeye defense, they were HORRIBLE. They gave up over 400 yards passing to RICHARD LAGOW. He only managed to throw for for 117 yards against Purdue but he torched the Buckeye defense time and again. NO WAY OHIO STATE FINISHES ABOVE .500 THIS SEASON.

Guy that has a tattoo of Hayes and Tressel in an eternal embrace: Wow, the Ohio State offense is loaded with weapons. Freshman J.K Dobbins came in and ran for 181 yards. J.T Barrett threw for over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns with zero interceptions. After the Buckeyes shook off the rust in the first half, they showed just how dominate of a team they are going to be this season. This might be the only game they score less than 50.

The defense is something special. They might have the best line in Big Ten history. They had 5 sacks and nine tackles for loss. Denzel Ward is going to be a stud. He had 5 PDs and is only going to get better. They never let Indiana score more than once in each quarter and shut them out in the 4th when it matters. This was the biggest opening game in Indiana history, and the Buckeyes took it too them.

Indiana fan: I think this was a moral victory for the Hoosiers. They held the vaunted Ohio State offense to just 13 points in the first half. How long as J.T. Barrett been at Ohio State? Is he like 30? Anyway, I thought the defense played pretty well, they just gave up some big plays. If we can get that taken care of, we should be pretty good this season.

The offense was looking pretty good. Lagow had a nice game and Simmie Cobbs was fantastic. I believe he has a chance to be a top 5 pick in the NFL draft. We already played the toughest team on our schedule and led at half. It was a good game until it got away at the end. I am really looking forward to the season!

Also an Indiana fan: OMG I HATE THE HOOSIERS. They do this to me EVERY time we play a good team! They tease me with good play, only to rip my heart out at the end. WHY? WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING? Clearly Tom Allen isn’t the answer. In fact, we should fire everyone, kick all the players off the team and just start over. When does basketball season start?
