THEE Northwestern Wildcats Are Ready To Join The SEC, Probably

Time for them to join the bigest leagues!

NCAA Football: Music Bowl-Kentucky vs Northwestern Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

So, as a small percentage of you know, the Northwestern Wildcats have been on a roll. I think I read somewhere that they won 10 games last year, and at some point in the last decade won their very first bowl game. Clearly, their ready for the Big Leagues! (Or There, the only Medill School I went to was between elementary and high). As everyone in Big Ten country knows, the real big leagues is the SEC.

Some of you might think this is a crazy idea, and if you used science and reason to make your point, you would probably be right. However, we are far beyond that at the OTE.

If the Northwestern Wildcats join the SEC, it would be a win or a win for them. On the one hand, they would forgo morals and admission standards for their athletes, and be a legit contender for mythical national championships where committees select the participants. You think Paddy Fitzs is amazing now, imagine if that 3.5 star wide receiver that a tech guy that may, or may not, write for OTE drops 3 large into his bank account and then the recruit announces the Wildcats over La Tech...

On the flip side, what if Northwestern wants to keep the ready made excuse for losing, and the “10 wins is like the Super Bowl for them” mentality? Well then they just become the next Vanderbilt. Do you know who never lead Vanderbilt to a winning season? Jay Cutler. Do you know who never has to work a day in his life? Jay Cutler. Not a bad L, if you want my honest opinion.

So the Wildcats could move to the SEC and become the MILDcats (HAHAHA SEE WHAT I DID THERE) or they could actually thrive with the change of scenery. The million dollar question is, why shouldn’t they leave for the SEC?
