Welcome to Friday, nerds! Where We Be, What We Be Drinking is where your favorite OTE “writers” share their gameday libations and snacks while LPW gets yelled at by his friends and family for having a fall wedding. Before we get to it I’d like to pre-congratulate anyone who took the under for Iowa-Northwestern. Now, time to head around the country and see what everyone is up to:
Creighton
I’m getting brunch at Three Notch’d Brewing, then taking a growler of something seasonal home to watch the games. I still haven’t decided if I’m going to try making sous vide chicken wings or if I’ll just order some.
WhiteSpeedReceiver
I will be at historic TCF Bank Stadium as the Gophers take on Maryland. The forecast looks like it’ll be an absolutely perfect autumn day, so I’ll enjoy a couple Grain Belts along with the football.
Beezer
I’ll be in Danville, VA again, watching the first 2 quarters of Wisco-OSU. Just long enough to confirm that it’s a repeat of the 59-0 CCG, and then doing literally anything else.
Townie
I’ll be in Delray Beach, Florida for my inlaws 50th wedding anniversary party. I have to be there by 5pm, which means I’ll probably be sneaking looks at my phone through the first part of it. That’s okay, as the son in law, I’m kind of expected to be aloof, right?
Thumpasaurus
Well, wherever it is I’ll be, I’m drinking the rest of my Homecomingweizen to clear out bottles so I can bottle NUTGERS.
LincolnParkWildcat
I’ll be in Italy on my honeymoon! I’ll be drinking plenty of wine and limoncello.
Candystripes For Breakfast
As has become tradition this year, I’ll catch a little bit of the game at home, then spend a couple hours at work trying to both not watch the game and focus on pizzas, and watch every second of the game that I can. A lot of water and Coke/Cherry Coke/Sprite will be downed.

LAZERS!!!!!! I’ll be coming back home to State College, I’ll be drinking something decaffeinated on my couch.
Boilerman
Looking like I’ll be at home for this one. With the weather starting to turn to the cooler side, I turn my attention to one of my personal favorites, Great Lakes Brewing Co. Edmund Fitzgerald Porter. The Legend lives on, indeed.
Andrew K
Given the rainy forecast, this feels like a couch weekend, depending upon adequate progress in the #housegrind. Still have some leftover Three Floyds in the fridge, so maybe I’ll get into my Robert the Bruce.
Dead Read
I’ll be at some meeting in downtown Omaha. I am actually fine with it.
Brian Gillis
I’ll be in Ann Arbor this weekend. And Saturday night you’ll find me under the lights at Michigan Stadium to see if the Wolverines can salvage their season, of if the free fall begins.
BigRedTwice
I think I’m going to the game! It looks like it will be a gorgeous afternoon, so that will be nice, whatever is on the field. According to Tom Allen, I’m wearing red and cheering for... Indiana? So that will be new and different. I’m kind of hoping to find a Halloween thing that night and someone who also wants to go. I think one of the saddest parts of adulthood is how few opportunities there are to dress in costume, but sadly, most of my friends do not share this view.
MNWildcat
Back in Evanston for more punishment, this time even driving down for the privilege of Northwestern talking my season ticket money, treating me to a shit in-game atmosphere, and punching me in the balls repeatedly.
Will you be at this game? We’ll be in the Reservoir Lot, drinking our skulls out to forget this is going to happen. I’ll be bringing some Grain Belt, Fair State, and other assorted Minnesota beers for a little beer swap that’s not really a swap, but moreso a group therapy session! Come on down, bring the beer of your homeland, and let’s all get through this together.
How about the rest of you? Are you helping LPW out with his dangerous and sexy European art heist normal honeymoon? Are you getting a tattoo commemorating Illinois’ victory over wisconsin last week, despite not even being an Illini fan? Well, head on down to the comments and let us know!
