Good morning, football aficionados! The scheduling wizards have brought us two of today’s four bowl games at the exact same time. I know, I know, what a time to be alive, privy to such brilliance!
Anyway, make your choices, and decide which thoroughly unlikeable team in blue you’d like to watch.
Camping World Bowl: Notre Dame Fighting Irish (#15) vs. Iowa State Cyclones
Orlando, Florida
11am | ABC | ND -3.5 | O/U 60.5
First, in the illustrious Camping World Bowl (woohoo!) Notre Dame (10-2) has been exiled to the Camping World Bowl, a fate far below their station, according to any Notre Dame fan. Iowa State (7-5), could “easily be 11-1,” according to Brian Kelly, which, sure.
Um, I checked out of football about a month ago, and I watched these two teams a combined zero times during this season, so I don’t know what’s happening here. I assume Notre Dame should win, but I think it would be really funny if they didn’t, so go ‘Clones.

Cotton Bowl: Memphis Tigers (#17) vs. Penn State Nittany Lions (#10)
Jerry World (AT&T Stadium), Arlington, TX
11am | ESPN | PSU -7.5 | O/U 60.5
One of the nation’s premier annoying fanbases takes on Memphis, which is a school in Tennessee, and that exhausts my knowledge of Memphis as a football team. Both teams will have coaching gaps, with Penn State’s OC Ricky Rahne off to lead Old Dominion, and Memphis, more significantly perhaps, missing HC Mike Norvell, who is off to try his hand in the loony bin that is Florida State.
These two teams have never played each other, and while Memphis has a lot to prove, PSU is presumably also looking to make some noise after another season which saw them overshadowed by Ohio State.
