At first, it came slowly.
It was a characteristically bitter Jim Harbaugh airing out his grievances after a narrow defeat that he did not feel responsible for.
It continued when Michigan came up short in a comeback bid for the Orange Bowl title against Florida State
It accelerated in a 14-10 loss to Michigan State and a mollywhopping by Penn State, and this fed into three straight losses to end the year.
It experienced an unexpected ramp-up last September when Wisconsin annihilated his Wolverines:

And it arguably culminated on Saturday as the Wolverines couldn’t overcome Mel Tucker’s Michigan State Spartans despite his not meeting any of his own players until late in the summer.
I have been nursing this pet theory for years now.
I think Jim Harbaugh died inside on November 26, 2016.
Go ahead and prove me wrong, but he’s been acting consistently with a person who’s just had his eyes glazed over and has just been going through the motions since then.
So that’s my assessment. Jim Harbaugh is still around physically. But does he have it in him? Is his team simply complacent with no justification for being as such?
Listen to find out!
