Good morning! As we enter week 7 of self-isolation in Minnesota, I decided it was time to take a quick look at the most important B1G West games of 2020. Take a look, and let me know your thoughts in the comments.
1) Minnesota vs. Auburn, Outback Bowl, 1/1/2020
If there’s only one game I’m going to see in person this year, it’s this one. Minnesota put on a damn clinic against Auburn in an exceptional way to start the new year. Tyler Johnson had the play of the year for the B1G West with his catch in the back of the endzone (see above) as part of his 12/204/2 farewell to the Maroon & Gold, Mo Ibrahim ran for 140 yards and 2 TDs at a 7.0 clip against a SEC defense, and the Gopher offense actually completed 3 passes to a TE to bring the season total to 10. For the non-Gopher fan, there was also a 96 yard kickoff return for a TD, a busted coverage 37 yard TD on a 4th & 5.
2) Oregon vs. wisconsin, Rose Bowl, 1/1/2020
This game made a strong push for #1 based on the fact that the badgers lost, but it really wasn’t that great of a game (The teams combined for 32 more yards than Minnesota had on their own in the Outback Bowl) and relies on the godless red horde choking it away. Highlights included Oregon S Brady Breeze returning a fumble 31 yards for a TD, Ducks QB Justin Herbert scampering 30 yards for a TD with 7:41 to play to score the final points of the game, Danny Davis III for getting caught on film for OPI, and Paul Chryst deciding to punt with 2:38 left while trailing.
Were you expecting more football in 2020? LOLNope. Sorry. This is what we’re going to get, so I really hope you enjoyed it.

Something else because I’m a delusional idiot and I think we’ll somehow get football this fall.
