Week 12 of B1G Survivor saw no eliminations. All four of the remaining contestants made it through so that they could make their final selection of the year. As I´m sure you all know, if you survive Week 13, your last unused team is automatically your pick for the CCG. Here is the refresher for the end-of-year tiebreaker scenarios again:
1. If a player makes it to week 14, and their one remaining team wins the CCG, they are obviously the champion, and will have completed a "perfect season".
1a. If multiple players complete a "perfect season", I'm going old-school Big Ten and declaring "Co-Champions". I will then apply the "Strength of Victory" tiebreaker (non FBS opponents' records get converted to "0-for"). Whomever wins the SOV tiebreaker gets a "BCS Auto-bid" championship, and whomever loses gets a "Ferentzian" championship. If still tied after the SOV tiebreaker, whomever got their pick in first most often during the season gets the "BCS Auto-bid" championship.
2. If a player makes it to week 14, and their remaining team loses the CCG, this will be considered a better result than a player who makes it to week 14 with a team that didn't make the CCG.
2a. If multiple players make it to week 14 with a team that loses the CCG, the SOV tiebreaker will be used to determine a champion. If still tied, next tiebreaker is whoever got their picks in first most often during the season.
3. If none of the above happen, and a player makes it to Week 14 with a team that is not in the CCG, this will be considered a better result than a player who got knocked out in Week 13.
3a. If multiple players make it to Week 14 with a team that is not in the CCG, the player whose remaining team has the best overall record will be the champion. If the two players are still tied, SOV tiebreaker is then applied. If still tied, next tiebreaker is whoever got their picks in first most often during the season.
4. If everyone gets knocked out in Week 13, then tiebreakers that I have previously posted will be applied.
These are the final four contestants:
RTVF82 (OSU, Pur)
StateOfRutgers (Ind, PSU)
theguyfrom.... (Iowa, Nw)
whipples (Mary, OSU)
Note: I got rid of the second grouping, as none of the remaining contestants can still possibly violate the ¨pick against a team more than 3 times¨ rule.
