My final wrap up post will be several days late as I'll be away from my spreadsheet for Thanksgiving week and updating that from my ipad or phone isn't going to happen.

Week 13 will be determinative in who you have left to pick in week 14, so your choice this week will also indicate your choice next week (if your week 14 team isn't in the championship game, it is a loss)

Week 12 recap:

Congratulations for a good run to dlrhawks who had a choice of either Michigan State or Indiana and unfortunately chose the Spartans who lost to the Hoosiers in double overtime.

riclang had to sweat out a close win by Michigan over Illinois to move on and AutoRecBot advanced with an Ohio State victory over Maryland.

Now we are down to 2. Both AutoRecBot and riclang have Northwestern (1 win) left. AutoRecBot's other option is Indiana (4 wins) while riclang has Nebraska (3 wins).

Please note the Nebraska game is on Friday afternoon.

Here's how they got here:

If 1 person picks Northwestern and the other avoids the Wildcats like the plague, an outright winner will be crowned if 1 wins and the other loses. Both winning or both losing would result in a 1st tie breaker win for the individual who did pick Northwestern.

If both contestants avoid Northwestern, the first tiebreaker is a tie and it goes to tiebreaker 2 if both win or both bow out. An outright win is possible if 1 gets a win while the other loses.

If both contenders pick Northwestern, AutoRecBot holds a 1 game advantage in the first tie breaker. riclang would have to hope for an Indiana win and a Nebraska loss to get to tie breaker 2.

So for tie breaker 2 scenarios, Nevada, Indiana, Minnesota, Rutgers and Maryland wins will help AutoRecBot (also currently has a 1 win advantage in this category) while Western Kentucky, Northwestern, Iowa, Nebraska, and Illinois wins will aid riclang.

There is a third tie breaker, posted in week 1. It's whoever posts their final pick first.

3 contestants were eliminated this week. One bowed out with an errant pick of Iowa losing to Minnesota, 1 chose Wisconsin to lose to Nebraska, and one picked Michigan to lose to Illinois.

Special props to mbailey71, who's 10 week run in the consolation bracket will not be matched this year.

2 people advanced by correctly picking Northwestern to lose to Purdue.
