Week 4: For the second week in a row, Northwestern wreaked havoc in the survivor pool wiping away another 9 contestants with a loss to Miami (OH).

15 entrants successfully picked Illinois over FCS foe Chattanooga, while there was one taker each for Penn State and Ohio State. It remains to be seen, but I'd say that's an advantage to those who took Illinois. Penn State and Ohio State are going to win a lot of games yet this year.

17 contestants remain with only NU'06er making pick vs a B1G opponent (Wisconsin) so far; that will change this week. Here's who's left along with their prior picks in alphabetical order (in parenthesis).

Now for the bigger pool: There were 15 eliminations due to non-picks, and one due to Illinois. Other than that, it was easy for people to pick losers this week.

16 chose Wisconsin to lose to Ohio State, 5 picked Maryland to fall to the Wolverines, 4 selected Cincinnati over Indiana, and 1 individual called the Rutgers loss to Iowa.

Also, it has come to my attention that I have fouled up the administration of this pool by failing to specify a limit for number of times for picking against a team. So there will be no limit. You may pick against a team as often as you like, but taking advantage of this boon may torpedo your chances in a tie breaker scenario. I will still publish teams picked against up to 3 times like the original pool operates.
