Two great series gave us two hard fought splits.
We kick of the second half of the conference season with two series. Michigan looks to strengthen its case for a number one seed. Minnesota looks to hang on to its chances for an at-large bid while Penn State is looking to stay in the B1G title race.
There's a loaded slate of games this weekend for B1G Hockey fans. Every team is in action with two conference series, two non-cons and UNO playing. Michigan and Penn State will play at MSG on Saturday while the Gophers will see old foes.
Four games this weekend, Michigan and Michigan State will each play an exhibition against the US National Development Under-18 team. Michigan will host them on Thursday, State on Saturday. Penn State travels to Columbus while Minnesota heads to Madison. UNO hosts Miami OH.
We are a little over a third of the way through the conference slate and the teams are starting to slot into place. Minnesota and Penn State completed home sweeps of Michigan State and Wisconsin respectively. Ohio State took two from Michigan at home on Friday while the Wolverines responded with a home win Sunday evening.
Another full weekend with Michigan and OSU in a home-and-home, Wisconsin going to Penn State, Minnesota hosting Michigan State, and UNO playing a team in the middle of barren wilderness.
